In 2020 ACS International Schools adopted the PowerSchool Learning virtual platform. After volunteering for the pilot group, I was the first teacher in the ACS organisation to “go live” with the platform in the classroom. I then developed a virtual learning environment in Geography that allowed students to work at their own pace, access additional resources to enrich their understanding and complete optional assessment materials for extra practice and feedback. This enabled students to learn at a pace they are comfortable with and revisit material and resources whenever they wish. I worked with several departments in the organisation to move the project forward, provided training to staff and presented to the other ACS campuses, including the Doha campus via video conference call. I am highly motivated when driving innovation and change. I find it rewarding when passing on my skills and experience to help educators develop their practice and grow as professionals.
